The Pennies of Thoughts Blog is temporarily unavailable. If you are looking for my two Wordpress themes, you can stil download Elegant Blue and Elegant Blue 2. They are, however, not guaranteed to work on Wordpress 2.2 and above.

Since my work as a graphic / web designer has taken off, I decided to split the site. This is now completely dedicated to my hobbies of writing and collecting quotes.

Updated the Favorite Quotes page so that when you first access it you are presented with a list of authors instead of the first page of quotes.

Added a few navigation aids so that if existing content references an item in the menu, there is now a link to that page.
The Updates page now has a year selector.
Fixed the pagination for specific author pages in Favorite Quotes.
Updated the title on the Favorite Quotes page, so now it displays either the author's name or quote number depending on how the page is accessed.
Fixed the "Page Not Found" problem that was caused when an author was selected from any, but the first, page of Favorite Quotes.
Removed the extra comma in the page list on Favorite Quotes.
Added image verification to the guestbook.
Added two more client websites to the Web Design page and alphabetized the listing.

The Star Trek: Unity's Forums have moved to their rightful home at: http://community.st-unity.net With that in mind, the menu entry for the forums have been removed. The subdomain will remain active with a re-direct until Dec. 1st so everyone can update their bookmarks.

Made the dynamically generated pages look more like static HTML ones.
Fixed the higher resolution alignment problem with the forms
Lone Horse Endeavors became the temporary home of Star Trek: Unity's forum. ST:Unity is a fan-based series machinima (3D computer graphics) production taking place in 2173. That era is 12 years after the founding of the Federation. It also takes place between ST:ENT and TOS but closer to ST:ENT.

Updated the layout of the site so that it is completely CSS driven without any tables.
Added more functionality to the search engine including excerpts from the page found.
Improved the efficiency of the code that drives this site.
Added more quotes to the Favorite Quotes page and the number of quotes by each author to the author selection bar.
Removed the forum page as it was not being used as much as I thought it was going to be.

Added pagnation and the ability to view quotes by specific authors to the Favorite Quotes Page.
Did a complete overhaul of the site so it´s now PHP and MySQL driven. Why did I undertake such an endeavor? Because I wanted a site that was easier to update, more efficent in its coding, had more capabilities for the end user, and didn´t require duplicate information and / or coding to run the site.

The site itself has also changed just a wee bit. There are twice as many quotes on the quote page, the contest design page now includes "for purpose" designs (which means a few more additions there), the guest book is now database driven, the updates on the front page will disappear at the end of the month that they are written, the mutiple image galleries are "dynamic" so they will automatically adjust to the size of your browser window, and you can search the site for key words or phrases.
Plans for the upcoming months - Make the quotes and update pages a little more interactive and create an interactive update system for the site. Also add "report broken link" feature to Resources section.

The logo / color scheme redesign for the site is on indefinite hold. However, I´m proud to announce the unveiling of the Lone Horse Endeavors & MarkNet Productions Projects Forum.
Pulled all links to my former geocities site.

Updated the navigation system so that it is much easier to manuever around the pages that take you two or three levels deep.
Re-re-organized the directory structure of the site, so that I could keep all the different pages straight. (So much for search engine optimization . . . Human sanity comes first.)
Planned on redesigning the logo / color scheme of the site so that it wasn´t so monochromatic.
Updated the front page so that the quote changes every time it is reloaded. Also added a new quote to Favorite Quotes.

Created custom error pages
Updated the copyright information on all pages to reflect the beginning of a new year . . . Where did 2003 go?
Added the Contact LHE page and menu item.
Edited Web Design intro to reflect the addtion of another PHP enabled feature on the website.
Reorganized directory structure of the site, so there weren´t so many levels. (Helps with search engine optimization.)

This site has moved from geocities to its own domain name. As part of the move, there´s been a name change and some new content added.
